The ecological problem of this process is the continuous carryover of microspherical particles of catalyst dust, as well as a large amount of sulfur and nitrogen oxides from the regeneration zone of the spent catalyst. Not all industrial plants are equipped with systems capable of efficiently cleaning the flue gases from the process.
Our company offers a complex system for wet cleaning of flue gases of the regeneration unit.
1. The contaminated gas is fed to the scrubber, where it comes into contact with the absorbent caustic solution. Fine particles of catalyst dust are captured by the absorbent and separated from the gas stream, while sulfur oxides react with alkali to form sulfites and sodium sulfates.
2. Gas is directed to the block of filter modules and droplet separators, in which uncaught catalyst particles are removed and water is separated from the gas stream, after which the cleaned gas is released into the atmosphere.
3. The scrubber liquid is mixed with the flocculant and sent to the separation tank. The settled solids are collected in the form of a slurry, which is fed to the filter press.
4. The stream taken from the top of the separator enters the oxidizing columns, where sulfites are oxidized to sulfates, after which it is sent to the treatment plant of the enterprise. It is also possible to process the effluent stream by crystallizing the formed salts.
