Purification of gases after the pyrolysis process

The pyrolysis process generates waste gases containing solid particles, including metal oxides, mercury compounds, and the like, as well as gaseous compounds such as HCl, HBr, HF, SO&sub2, SO&sub3.

The system for cleaning off gases from the pyrolysis process includes a spray scrubber for gas cooling, injecting an adsorbent, for example, lime milk, then removing solid particles and adsorbent grains on which pollutants have been adsorbed in bag filters blown with compressed air.

Further, the gas is subjected to final purification from gaseous compounds in a rotary scrubber with a packed bed irrigated with a NaOH solution.
