Supply of a special filter press for filtering Shea butter for EFKO Group of Companies

Taman Plant "Food Ingredients" is the anchor enterprise of EFKO's "South" production division. It produces more than 15 types of products, including universal and special margarines, as well as confectionery fats. A responsible production approach and high-quality standards for finished products place special demands on the equipment used at the enterprise.

As part of the modernization of production, our specialists offered a fully automatic filter press with a filtration area of 400 m2 in a food industry design for processing Shea nut oil.

The filter press is equipped with a number of systems that take into account the specifics of processing nut oil:

• Heating system of filter plates (1500*1500, 120 pieces) with temperature control, which prevents crystallization of oil during filtration and ensures process stability.
• Shaking system of filter cloths, which is necessary for easy unloading of cake, avoiding contamination of the sealing surface of the plates and maintaining the rhythm of production.

The structural elements of the filter press are completely covered with stainless steel AISI 304 to comply with sanitary and hygienic standards of food production.
