Specialists of the Chemical Engineering Solutions carried out test filtration at the production of special chemicals and dyes
Test filtration was carried out in order to correctly select membrane filter plates and filter cloths to minimize the moisture content of the sediment, which is the final product.
Now the company uses LENSER® chamber filter plates without the possibility of sludge compression from. These slabs were produced in 1989 and despite this are in operation.
Our company has experience in upgrading chamber filter presses to membrane ones in order to increase the efficiency of solid-liquid separation.
Filtration was carried out on a test semi-industrial filter press 470x470 with a mixed package of LENSER® plates in accordance with the terms of reference.
During the tests, experiments were carried out to determine the parameters of the filtration process of two different suspensions. The tests were completed by drawing up a final test report and issuing a report with recommendations to replace the old chamber slabs with a chamber-membrane package.
This will reduce the moisture content of the sludge by 15 - 20%, reduce the washing time by 30-40%, reduce the volume of washing water by 50% and the amount of impurities in the sludge.
The end result will be reduced energy consumption for drying sludge, increased equipment productivity and reduced consumption of clean water, and less wastewater.
